Update BCCI relaxes age-fraud rule
#1

Kashmir's pace bowler Rasikh Salam, who was banned for two years in June by the BCCI for age fudging, may now get some relief. As per the minutes of a Committee of Administrators (CoA) meeting held on June 29 in Delhi, the Board has relaxed the punishment to such cricketers, allowing them to play in inter-club matches or tournaments in the second year of their ban. As per the earlier ban, cricketers found guilty of age fraud were suspended/banned from playing BCCI matches for the entire two-year ban period.

Test venues for South Africa series swapped

Following a request from the Jharkhand Cricket Association (JCA), due to Durga Puja celebrations around that time in Ranchi, the CoA has agreed to switch the venues of the second and third Tests in the forthcoming home series against South Africa. Pune, which was originally supposed to host the third Test, will now host the second Test from October 10-14, while Ranchi will now stage the third Test from October 19-23.
