Update IPL 2020: Royal Challengers Bangalore team profile

One of the most popular franchises in Indian Premier League since the inaugural edition, Royal Chellengers Bangalore, owned by United Spirits, are yet to win an IPL title to their name. The team has been captained by Indian skipper Virat Kohli since 2011 and despite the big names in the squad, the team has twice finished as the bottom-ranked side in 2017 and 2019 editions and also 6th in the points table in the 2018 season, and 7th in 2014 season.

However, the COVID-19 situation has affected players like never before and hence the dynamic this time might just be different. Needless to say, it would be a do or die season for the IPL ‘underachievers’ and their real chance to do something.

Virat Kohli will remain the captain of the RCB side and the team will also continue to enjoy the services of retired South African international palyers AB de Villiers and Dale Steyn.
