Update Kyle Jamieson picked for India Tests; Boult, Ajaz Patel return

Uncapped fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has earned his maiden Test cap for the upcoming two-match series against India at home on the back of impressive performances in the A set up and the domestic circuit, as well as the recently-concluded ODI series against India.

New Zealand have also welcomed back the experienced Trent Boult, who has been out of action since injuring his right hand in the Boxing Day Test in Australia, and missing the subsequent final Test of that series as well as the limited-overs leg of the home series against India. Boult's return strengthens New Zealand's pace arsenal, bring together the three most experienced quicks in him, Tim Southee and Neil Wagner. Should the hosts consider attacking India with a four-pronged pace attack, Jamieson could slot in.
