With 913 points, Dawid Malan has achieved the highest rating points for batsmen in the ICC T20I rankings. Malan, the No. 1 ranked T20I batsman, had a productive series against South Africa in which he aggregated 173 runs, including knocks of 55 and 99 in the second and third T20I respectively.

England, meanwhile, leapfrogged Australia to the top spot of the men's T20I rankings. Having started the series with 271 points, England moved to 275 after their 3-0 series victory against South Africa. Although they are level with Australia in terms of points, they moved ahead on decimal points.

India are currently ranked third, followed by Pakistan, South Africa and New Zealand. The series loss to New Zealand meant that West Indies dropped below Afghanistan to be ranked 10th among the T20I teams.

Malan became the first to cross the 900-point barrier since Aaron Finch reached 900 in July 2018. Malan now has a 44-point advantage over the second-placed Babar Azam, whom he overtook in September this year to become the top-ranked batsman in T20Is.

South Africa's Rassie van der Dussen, who scored 136 runs in the series, moved up to a career-best fifth spot in the T20I rankings with a leap of 17 places. Adil Rashid rose to the fourth position among bowlers, gaining three places while Tabraiz Shamsi moved down one position to No. 5.
