Smartisan Nut R2 launched; features 6.67-inch 90Hz display, SD865 chipset, 16 GB RAM, 108 MP quad-camera and more

The Smartisan Nut R2 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, along with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch latency. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC.

It comes packed with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, making it one of the few phones to have such high memory configuration. The phone is running Smartisan OS 8.0 which is based on the Android operating system.

Coming to the camera department, it sports a quad-camera setup on the back that includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. The camera configuration offers support for 3x optical zoom and 30x hybrid zoom, and 8K time-lapse photography. On the front side, it features a 20-megapixel snapper, taking care of the selfie and video calling needs.


OPPO A33 with 90Hz display, SD460 and 3GB RAM launched in India

The OPPO A33 has a 6.5-inch punch-hole screen with 90Hz refresh rate support. The IPS LCD panel produces an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Snapdragon 460 mobile platform is the driving force of the smartphone. It comes with 3 GB of LPPDR4x RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. For more storage, the device is equipped with a microSD card slot.

The Android 10 OS overlaid with ColorOS 7.2 comes preinstalled on the OPPO A33. It has a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel. The backside of the phone has a rectangle camera module that includes a 13-megapixel primary shooter, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The OPPO A33 has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging. It comes with other features such as Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a rear-positioned fingerprint sensor. The phone measures 163.9 x 75.1 x 8.4mm and it weighs 186 grams.

The OPPO A33 is priced at Rs 11,990 (~$163). In comparison, the 4 GB and 6 GB RAM editions of the A33 are priced at Rs 12,990 (~$176) and Rs 15,490 (~$211).


Huawei Y7a announced with Kirin 710A, 48MP quad-camera setup

Huawei Y7a features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ IPS display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 710A octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The memory is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.

The phone runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 out of the box and Huawei’s AppGallery. It does not come with Google’s apps and services. It packs 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. The phone also features a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

For the camera, there is a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 120-degree FoV, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For the front, the phone has an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.1, BLE, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, AGPS, dual-SIM and USB Type-C port. The phone measures 165.6 x 76.8 x 9.26mm and weighs 206 grams.


Huawei Mate 30E Pro 5G powered by a Kirin 990E SoC launched

Huawei has officially launched the Mate 40 series today powered by the Kirin 9000 chipset. The tech giant also unveiled the Kirin 9000E SoC. Huawei has now revealed the Mate 30E Pro 5G, powered by an unannounced Kirin 990E.

Huawei is yet to reveal many details of the Mate 30E Pro. However, from the limited information, the design of the Mate 30E Pro 5G is exactly the same as that of Mate 30 Pro 5G. It packs an “Oreo ring” shaped Quad-camera setup with the Leica badge. The device is available in six different colour options including bright black, purple, silver, emerald green, and orange.

The Kirin 9000E comes with a 22-core Mali-G78 GPU. It adopts an Octa-core design, which includes a Cortex-A77 super core clocked at 3.13GHz, three 2.54GHz Cortex-A77 large cores, and four 2.05GHz Cortex-A55 energy efficiency cores. In terms of NPU, Kirin 9000E has dual cores (one large core and one small core).

Infinix Hot 10’s new 4GB RAM variant launched for Rs 8,999 (~$122)

The Infinix Hot 10 has a massive 6.78-inch IPS LCD punch-hole screen that produces a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. The device is preinstalled with Android 10 OS that is overlaid with XOS 7.0 UI.

The gaming-focused Helio G70 chipset is at the helm of the Infinix Hot 10. The phone comes with support for 18W fast charging for its 5,200mAh battery. It has a rear-facing fingerprint reader.

For shooting selfies, the Infinix Hot 10 possesses a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel. The backside of the phone has four cameras that are coupled with a quad-LED flash unit. The setup includes a 16-megapixel primary shooter, a 2-megapixel macro lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a low-light lens.
