In Badminton, Indian shuttler P V Sindhu will eye her maiden title this year in the Thailand Open beginning in Bangkok tomorrow. Seeded fourth, Sindhu will open her women's singles campaign against unseeded Chinese Han Yue, whom she easily overcame in the first round of Japan Open.

In the last two weeks, Sindhu finished second-best at the Indonesia Open and reached the quarterfinals of the Japan Open. On both occasions, familiar foe Japan's Yamaguchi turned out to be Sindhu's nemesis. Sindhu will be desperate to break her seven-month long title jinx. The other Indian in fray is Saina Nehwal in womens singles. In men's singles, Indian shuttlers including B Sai Pranneeth, Kidambi Srikanth, H S Prannoy, Sameer Verma and P Kashyap will lead the Indian challenge.
