Update Sakshi Malik enters gold medal round at Asian Wrestling c'ship

On the 4th day of the Asian Wrestling championship in New Delhi today, Rio Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik made it to the gold medal round of 65 kilogram category. But, Vinesh Phogat fell to Japanese nemesis Mayu Muakida to go out of the gold medal race in 53 kg category. Sakshi lost her opening round 1-2 to Naomi Ruike from Japan but later overcame Korea's Ohyoung Ha and Uzbekistan's Nabira Esenbaeva.

Also in medal contention are India's brightest youngsters Sonam Malik in 62 kg and Anshu Malik in 57 kg categories. Sonam will fight for bronze against Aisuluu Tynbekova. Anshu will have to beat Sevara Eshmuratova from Uzbekistan to grab a bronze. In the non-olympic 72 kg category, Gursharanpreet Kaur is in bronze medal contention. She will be  up against Mongloia's Tsevegmed Enkhbayar.
